Do you need to stop a debit order?
You no longer have to queue in a branch and pay R70 per instruction. As a registered FNB Online Banking user you only pay R10 when you stop your debit order online.

 |
Login to FNB Online Banking and click on the Accounts tab |
|
|
 |
Choose the account from which the debit order is debited and click on Stop Payments on the left |
|
|
 |
Click the Stop Debit Order option on the left, followed by Add Instruction, also on the left |
|
|
 |
Select the account from which the order is debited, select the day of the month on which the order is processed and click the Go button. A list of debit orders that went off on this date will appear |
|

 |
Select the debit order you want to stop - keep the amounts displayed if the debit order is for a set monthly amount, or change to minimum ‘Stop Amount From’ and maximum ‘Stop Amount To’ if not* - and click the Stop Debit Order button
*Choosing ‘stop amount from’ and ‘stop amount to’, stops all debit orders from the selected company where the amount(s) falls between the two. |

To prevent the debit order from being processed through your account the following month, it is important to notify the relevant company in writing. |
