Do you need to stop a debit order?

You no longer have to queue in a branch and pay R70 per instruction. As a registered FNB Online Banking user you only pay R10 when you stop your debit order online.

 
 
  Login to FNB Online Banking and click on the My Bank Accounts tab  
  Choose the account from which the debit order has gone off and click on Stop Debit Order on the left   
  Click on  Menu  
  Click on Add Instruction  
  Select “Stop” next to the required debit order from the list of debit orders displayed  
  Capture a range of amounts (optional)*  
  Accept the terms and conditions and click confirm

 
 
* Choosing ‘stop amount from’ and ‘stop amount to’, stops all debit orders from the selected company where the amount(s) falls between the two.
 
 
  • Remember you can perform stop payments on all eChannels*.
  • Doing stop payments via an eChannel is always cheaper than using Branch or Telephone banking.
  • You can use your FNB Online Banking login details on the FNB Banking App or fnb.mobi
  • 24/7 banking comes standard with FNB Online Banking, FNB Banking App or FNB Cellphone Banking
  • Using FNB’s eChannels (FNB Online Banking, Banking App, Cellphone Banking) is always cheaper than using branch or telephone banking
 
  *eChannels also include FNB Cellphone Banking (visit FNB.mobi or dial *120*321#) and the FNB Banking App.  
     
     
 
 To prevent the debit order from being processed through your account the following month, it is important to notify the relevant company in writing.
