At FNB, we understand that our clients have diverse requirements with regard to Business Banking; as such, clients can choose between our Advanced and Simplified transacting solutions for Payments on Online Banking Enterprise™.

 

 

  • Clients registered via the new Self-registration process are automatically enabled for Simplified Payments however, existing clients or clients registered via the Consultant Registration process will need to ask their Administrators to opt in and enable Simplified Payments.
  • If, at any time the number of transactional accounts or recipients on your profile exceeds the criteria, you will be prompted to switch to the Advanced Payment solution.
  • Enabling Simplified Payments will update the Payment options at profile level, i.e., all users will see the simplified view.
  • Please note for existing clients using the Advanced payment option, before you enable Simplified Payments, the “Allow Override” setting must be selected for all existing Folders.

How to enable Simplified Payments

  1. Select Profiles and then select Site Settings.
  2. Select the Site Preferences tab.
  3. Click on the Tell me more button for Simplified payments.

  1. The next page will display information about Simplified payments. Note! Before you enable Simplified Payments, the “Allow Override” setting must be selected for all existing Folders.

  1. Select Enable. Note! Enabling Simplified Payments will update the Payment options at profile level, i.e., all users will see the simplified view.
  1. Select Authorise.
  2. Select the check box to confirm that you have reviewed the items and click on Accept to proceed with the authorisation process.  
  3. Authorise the request.
  4. The results page will display the status of your request.
  5. Click on Finish to complete the process.

If there are multiple Administrators, ask another Administrator to complete the authorisation process.

The changes will be available to use on your next login. To view the changes, end your current banking session and then log in again.

 

Simplified Payments Advanced Payments
  • The Simplified Payments solution is suitable for businesses that have simple payment needs.

    Business Banking Criteria:

    • Less than 150 recipients
    • Less than 10 transactional accounts
    • Do not need consolidated statement entries
  • The Advanced Payments solution is suitable for businesses that have advanced payment needs.
  • Business Banking Criteria:
    • More than 150 recipients
    • Uses Folders to create groupings
    • More than 10 transactional accounts
    • Want to select to consolidated statement entries
    • Import files directly from their Line of Business systems in the Bankserv or ISO file format.

  • The ability to pay multiple recipients, across various categories, simultaneously

Payments

  • Import multiple payments using the csv spreadsheet provided.
  • Pay your tax returns on eFiling.
  • Create Scheduled Payments.
  • Payment History can be restored by any user with the relevant permission.

If you have been granted permissions to make payments and your Administrators has enabled the 'Mobile Banking' permissions, you have the option to create and authorise payments (based on your permissions) via the OBE™ Banking App
