Dear <<FNB Customer>> |
We are always focused on providing you a safe and secure platform to bank online. In line with this approach, we are excited to announce our new Smart inContact solution that will replace the way that you currently receive OTPs if you use the Banking App. |
Instead of receiving the OTP via SMS, we will now deliver a notification directly to your phone requesting you to 'Approve' or 'Decline' the transaction. For any suspicious transactions visit your nearest FNB Branch to report the fraud immediately. |
How will this affect your Online Banking? |
As from 28 September 2016 you will no longer receive your OTPs via SMS, provided you have the latest version of the Banking App and have regularly been transacting on it. When completing transactions online that require authorisation you will need to approve these transactions on the Banking App using Smart inContact, our interactive messaging system. |
Why Smart inContact? |
- Eliminate the risks associated with SIM swaps
- Customise your Smart inContact alerts so that you receive notifications from E0.01
The Banking App is easy to use, secure to link to, and ensures transacting is only approved from your device. You need to have the latest version of the Banking App in order to use Smart inContact. Visit your app store and update your app today.
